Recommended Reading for Yogis


Once upon a time, before I even stepped foot on a yoga mat, I was reading many of the books below. I was fascinated by the peace and love that was taught through these readings but I wasn't quite sure what to do with the knowledge that I was absorbing. Interestingly enough, as time went on I found myself recommending these books to many friends over the years. I go back to these books almost as a sacred foundation of legit wisdom anytime I start to doubt or feel low. This selection of reading is a wonderful starting point of texts if you are ready to start exploring a deeper dimension in life.

I've read the Yoga Sutras about 3 times and each time I learn something new or learn a new way to apply knowledge that I already carried with me. I can't even tell you how many times I have read through The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and An Open Heart by The Dalai Lama. When people ask me, "what are some books you would recommend?" - I instantly think of these books listed below. This is only a very short list of books I love, as there are MANY. I have always loved to read, even as a young child. I am so grateful to have this list available for those of you who are in need of new reading inspiration.
