Tips to INCREASE YOUR ENERGY

I love to focus on relaxation and grounding, but there are many times in our lives that we need to feel ALERT, AWAKE, RECHARGED, AND READY for whatever life brings. Here are some of my favorite tips to increase energy, especially on the days when you feel lethargic and fatigued:

  1. Move Your Body! Now, I do not mean force your body into an intense HIIT workout or running the stairs at your local stadium...just consider going for a leisurely walk around the block, poke around in your yard/landscaping/garden, gentle yoga, stretching are some perfect examples of just mindfully moving your body. Often we feel stiff and stagnant and it is easy to lean into that and become more stiff and tense. You have to really make sure though, that you are honoring your body needs rest or there is an underlying issue such as a seasonal cold. If you find that you have indeed had plenty of rest and you are healthy, then there are instances where you need to gently push through that wall of fatigue.

  2. Pranayama! Here is a pranayama technique to increase your energy:

  • Inhale 5 counts

  • Exhale 4 counts

  • (continue for 5 breaths)

  • Inhale 5 counts > Hold 3 counts and feel the breath becoming brighter, like sunlight into your mind

  • Exhale 4 counts

  • Inhale 5 counts > Hold 4 counts, RADIATING ENERGY AND VOLTAGE OF LIFE FORCE THROUGH YOUR BODY

  • Exhale 4 counts

  • Inhale 5 counts > Hold 5 counts, FEEL YOUR INHALE IS LIKE SUNLIGHT PIERCING THROUGH THE CLOUDS OF FOGGINESS AND SLEEPINESS

  • Exhale 4 counts

  • Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm and just notice how energized you feel. You may even notice a buzz/vibration feeling on your skin

3. Use Sunlight to "charge" your Aura. Go outside in the morning or near a window. Allow the rising sun to charge the electromagnetic space around your body, your Aura. Imagine that the sunlight beams 20-30 golden rings of protection around you, as if you are being incubated in a golden egg of light. You may notice how good and warm it feels all around your body, melting any stress and tension away.

4. Practice Nadi Shodhana as another pranayama technique. You can access my free tutorial on Patreon here

5. Consider what foods and beverages you are intaking. Perhaps, consider making a smoothie with oranges, strawberries, pineapples - these fruits are full of vitamins and anxioxidants and have such a happy, alive sensory quality! They smell good! They taste good! How does taking in life giving foods make you feel? I bet it feels great :) Or what about substituting green tea for coffee one day a week? How does the coffee affect you? Just take time to consider all you take in during your regular routine and making sure you are taking in the best for living with vitality!

Let me know how these tips help you!!!!!

Namaste,

Kim
